Two of our three locations were recognized as being in the TOP 50 SCHOOLS IN AMERICA by Black Belt Schools International in 2006! We have been in continuous operation since July of 1993 in Huntsville and Madison County, AL.
Our goal is to improve our community "One Black Belt" and one family at a time by bringing together the physical and personal development benefits of the martial arts into one comprehensive program. We do this by teaching the correlating mental benefits to each movement in the martial arts and by supporting our students' growth and accomplishment as they progress.
Martial Arts is Great for Kids
Typically, parents see measurable improvement in kids' self-discipline, focus, and respect for themselves and for others as they train at Alexander. We believe so much that you will see positive changes after just one lesson that we offer a FREE INTRODUCTORY COURSE through our website. This course includes your child's uniform and free introductory classes with no obligation to continue! Our belief is that you will see the value of our program and will continue to give us the opportunity to be a positive influence on your children and family.
Martial Arts is Great for Adults Too!
Since the martial arts began as physical training for adults, it is obviously beneficial for adults as well! The benefits of martial arts lie in the combination of personal development, physical exercise, and self-defense training. At Alexander's, we offer a curriculum which combines Traditional Martial Arts and Modern Self-Defense to provide a strong physical foundation. Students who choose to compete are welcome to do so (in fact we have produced a dozen North American titles and countless State Championships), but the foundation of our system is to teach the martial arts in such a way as everyone can enjoy personal success.
